A Master of Fine Arts student at the University of South Dakota and native of Belle Fourche, Ariadne Albright is destined to become one of our state’s most notable artists. With the sentiment of a romantic, the mark of an expressionist, and an intuitive sense for storytelling in each of her pieces, Albright is clear and ambiguous, figurative and abstract, and simultaneously crude and sensitive in her marks on each canvas. She adds, “Stylistically, I borrow from everyone. Painting is a form of prayer for me, a daily extension of my hands, mind and spirit.”
