Edward S. Curtis is
today one of the most well-recognized and collected photographers of Native
people. In 1896 Curtis began a more than 30-year journey to photograph
every major Native American tribe west of the Mississippi. Curtis abandoned
his career as a successful portrait photographer, and sacrificed his health,
his marriage, and all of his assets to create an astonishing body of work.
At Warrior’s Work we
offer all the photographs from the entire 20 volumes of Curtis’ historic
work: “The North American Indian.” Richly toned and detailed, these fine
art prints are made to last over 100 years. They are available in 11x14 (S),
17x22 (M), 22x27 (L) and 30x36 (XL), and range in price from $100-$490.
This page shows just some of his most popular photographs that we have
available.
