Craig Richardson
is a full-time, self-taught wood turning artist who uses burl woods in
his designs. From maple, buckeye, redwood and black walnut,
Richardson creates vessels and incredible tables of all sizes, as well
as sculptures and wall hangings. Each piece includes some form of
inlay, predominantly turquoise and crushed walnut shells. Many pieces
have other media added such as horsehair, quills, silver or wire to
make them one of a kind.
Ben West Gallery
is the only gallery nationwide to feature Richardson's work ( we keep
him busy!). This website shows examples of some of the burls we carry.
