Our studio in Hill City
specializes in creating leather frame designs for Native American and other
fine art. From inspiration to completion, Warrior’s Work frames are
original works of art, so they are signed, dated and numbered in that same
spirit. The frames are covered in deerskin, buffalo or elk leather, and all
embossments and beadwork are designed and created in our studio. No
mouldings, presses or other manufactured framing devices are used for our
frames. Each one is hand-crafted and designed to enhance the art it
surrounds.
Leather framed artwork
can be purchased “off the wall” at the gallery or our clients commission us
to frame special pieces of their own. Commission work starts at $1000. A
50% deposit is required on frame orders and due to the demand for our
frames, as well as our insistence on the highest standards, it may take up
to six months to complete your order. We appreciate your patience and have
consistently been told by our clients that our artful frames are worth the
wait.
Our
leather framing gallery also creates “limited edition frames” using select
images by some of our most popular artists, and repeating a frame design for
a limited edition image. The gallery also carries a selection of
leather-framed mirrors that incorporate both
Native American
and/or contemporary designs. Some of our newest designs include brushed
aluminum and copper leaf.
